dmAnswers and dmSwitchboard

dmAnswers and dmSwitchboard work seamlessly together. dmSwitchboard allows you to set up a flexible touch-tone menu system on any dmNumber, with each option forwarding calls to a series of other numbers, which will be tried in turn. In practice this means that when a customer rings your main contact number they will hear a recorded message ("press 1 for sales ... 2 for accounts ..." etc). If they then choose the sales department dmSwitchboard will try to connect them to series of designated sales numbers (eg. your office number, your mobile, and so on).

Use them together and not only can you sound like a solidly professional company, but you can also ensure all calls are answered professionally, a 'receptionist like' human answering service being available to take them when you are not.

By setting your dmAnswers number as the final divert (at times when you are mostly available) and the first divert (at times when you are not), sales calls will go through to your dmAnswers service. This can be done for one or more departments - as desired - using dmSwitchboard's online control panel, which you can access from your dmClubhouse homepage.

This may sound complicated if you haven't tried dmSwitchboard yet, but let us reassure you - in practice setting up such a system is easy.
