Getting started with dmFax

Send yourself a fax message

Using a fax machine, call your dmFax Number and leave a message or login to your WWW Control Page and send yourself a Test Fax from the Gateway page.

View your fax message

Before you can view your fax messages you need to have the following a software package installed that is capable of opening our messages. See dmNote 3316 - How do I setup for viewing faxes.

Allow a few minutes for the fax message to be processed and emailed to you, then:

1 Check your email, you will see your fax message waiting for you.

2 Open the attachment. It should be called something like "20020111161731.dcx".

3 This will open your fax for you to read.

Viewing your fax message with UNIX/Linux and other operating systems: Please contact your Unified Messaging Provider for assistance.

Setting up the advanced features

You can configure the advanced features of the Fax Number either on the WWW by going to http://my.dmclub.net , or over the telephone by dialling your Control Number.
See dmNote 3328 - Phone login to your control number .

Let people know

Your friends, family, colleagues and customers will find that calling you on your personal number can save them a lot of time and uncertainty in getting hold of you.
