Script Wizard Help for Reception

This is probably the most important page in the wizard.

The Greeting is played every time the caller enters reception. That's once immediately after the initial greeting, then again after finishing in any of the other departments.

Press for Department is where you define the reception menu of your dmSwitchboard.

You can have up to 9 departments. Select one of the standard names or select "Other..." and put your own department name in.

Department names can be up to 20 characters long, can only contain letters, digits and spaces, and must begin with a letter.

If the caller doesn't have a phone capable of tone-dialling or if they just sit there like a lemon, the system can (after the third prompting) put through to someone. The default is to put them through to the last Team Divert department in the list. This setting can be overridden in the Script page.
