Parallel Migration: moving numbers with minimal disruption
Parallel Migration allows you to change your number quickly and with minimal disruption. With Parallel Migration, you can choose a new number and arrange for it to run in parallel with your 'old' number for a designated period of time.
Making sure your customers can reach you
During the migration period (while both numbers are running), you can choose how you want your old number to work while you notify your callers of the change. Either:
No change: The old number simply carries on working as before, and you use two numbers in parallel for the duration of the migration period. You'll be responsible for letting your callers know about the change before the end of the migration period.
Notify: A recorded message on the old number notifies your callers of the new number during the migration period.
Notify and Forward: A recorded message notifies your callers of the change, and callers are automatically forwarded to a number of your choice.
Migration period of up to 3 years
dmClub can support a migration period of up to 3 years. When you begin the parallel migration process we'll agree a migration period that suits you, including a migration completion date when you will transition fully to the new number. We do ask for payment in full for your existing number until the end of the migration period.
Getting started
If you want to migrate to a new number, contact support@dmclub.net. We'll need to agree the following things with you:
- Your old number
- Your preferred new number
- How you want to notify your callers of the change
- How long you want the numbers to run in parallel
Once we've established these details, dmClub will arrange the migration for you in around 1 working day.

When your service answers the call how about a greeting like this?
"Hi this is <the XYZ company> on <the old phone number>. We have changed our number to one which is cheaper to call it is 0333-0222- 123. This number will forward your call to us, but please note ournew number which is 0333-0222- 123, I'll repeat that 0333-0222- 123."
Voicemail outgoing message ideas
"Hi this is <the XYZ company> on <the old phone number>. We have changed our number to one which is cheaper to call it is 0333-0222- 123. This number will take a message, which we will return, or you could save some money and use our new number which is 0333-0222- 123, I'll repeat that 0333-0222- 123. Please leave your message after the tone"

FAQ
When should I cancel my old number?
Every quarter, you should check your call logs, when the calls that are coming in on the old number, no longer justify the rent of the old number, then it's time to cancel the number. If some of your customers are stubornly still calling you on the old number, we suggest that you ask them why.

How do I cancel my number?
For safety we ask that customer authorise the recycling of their accounts themselves (we hope that you understand that this is for your protection).
Here's how to do it in under 30 seconds
1) Login to your clubhouse at my.dmclub.net
2) Click on the icon for the service in the "Service Controls" section
3) Click the "General" tab
4) Click on "Click Here to release for recycling"
5) Confirm that you mean it
6) Confirm that you really, really mean it
