FAQ
I have heard about people's Switchboards being hacked and them losing money, how can that not happen with you?
"we are an IT support company and one of our customer was using a VOIP system that was hacked into, and got a bill of >£1,000!"
"I foolishly left a default password on my SIP handset after testing it, and someone cracked it and ran up a phone bill of £100's"
SB12 deals with threats like this by:
1) Automatically generating passwords, and not allowing user passwords, so that they are not open to dictionary attack
2) Giving the users real-time call records, so that you know where you are
Ca12 (our outbound calling service), also deals with this problem by
1) having daily and monthly limits, with a real-time stop, so that if there is unathorised use, then you loss is limited to the daily and monthly limits, and you can see where the unautherised calls come from
2) giving you real-time calls records so that you know where your calls are coming from
Also:
1) do not forget that overnight visitors to your office (including clearning staff), might be tempted to run up bills.
2) As dmCalls12 is much cheaper than many other suppliers, you will probably lose less money to fraud in the case of "petty" use.
