A friend tried calling my number and it didn’t work.

Good example

A friend tried calling my number on Monday 4th Jan 2016 at 11:00 UK time. They were calling from a ‘France Telecom’ landline (CLI +33-1-2345-2345) and heard in English "sorry there has been a fault – beep". She called the number 3 times over the next 5 minutes and got the same results, and then gave up.

I looked on my call logs and the calls were not there, the closest calls were 10:15 and 11:30 on that day, with different CLIs.
