Instructions for ControlX/Schedule
Calls can be handled in Office Hours or Out of Hours mode. The difference is that in Out of Hours mode, Team Diverts are disabled - so callers will be put through to voicemail rather than the telephone numbers specified.
Call Handling is used to select whether the timetable is used or if the mode is set manually.
If it is set to Automatic, the switchboard will either divert to your chosen numbers or to voicemail, according to the timetable. If it is set to Manual (Office Hours) the switchboard will be permanently open. If it is set to Manual (Out of Hours) the switchboard will divert to voicemail regardless of the time of call.
For each day in the Timetable, enter the start time and finish time for your office hours.
IMPORTANT: The system is very fussy about the format of your times - so it must be HH:MM (eg. 08:00 - putting in non-conformant values such as 8:00 or 08.00 will result in unexpected behaviour!)
Note that call handling mode can also be set over the phone (call the Telephone Control Number specified on the General page)
dmSwitchboard Schedule Change Reminder
When the clocks change to British Summer time (GMT+1) in March, please remember to change your switchboard classic schedules back an hour, as our legacy switchboard service is hardcoded to GMT.
Example: Your actual opening hours are 09:00 - 17:00. These need to be changed in the switchboard schedule to 08:00-16:00 for the duration of British Summer Time.
You will then need to make a note to change the times back when the clocks go back to GMT in October.
