Instructions for ControlX/DMCDivert
Set where calls to this number should be diverted. Always click Save to activate any changes you make.
Note: Changes to the type of divert destination (PSTN/VoIP) may take a few seconds to take effect.
Modes
- PSTN Divert mode - Set a divert to an ordinary PSTN telephone number
- VoIP Divert mode - Set a divert using VoIP technology to a SIP server, or failover to an ordinary PSTN telephone number
PSTN mode
Forward all calls to: Enter the number to forward calls to. Different tariffs have different reach - use the Tariff tab to request an upgrade to your service if you wish to divert somewhere not permitted by your current tariff.
Click on Set a VoIP destination to switch to VoIP mode.
VoIP mode
Forward calls to SIP trunk: Enter the address of a SIP server (eg. Asterisk, FreePBX, CallWeaver, Cisco) to divert to.
On failure/busy divert to: A PSTN number to divert to if the SIP destination is busy or unavailable. This feature is very much in "Alpha" mode and shouldn't be relied upon.
Click on Set a PSTN destination to switch to PSTN mode.
Troubleshooting VoIP
VoIP can be tricky. If you want to check if the number itself is working and you have doubts about your SIP server setup or its connectivity, try forwarding calls to voiptest.dmclub.net which should answer immediately with a "congratulations" message.
