SIP Phone settings and synonyms
When we created the dmNotes that tell you how to setup and test various SIP phones, it became very clear that there was no industry-wide naming standard for the SIP Credentials that you need to enter to make the extensions work.
These credentials are listed here, along with some examples in brackets to show their format:
- SIP Proxy/Host (004-0044.sb12.dmclub.org)
- SIP Username (0044384)
- SIP Password (ABCD-0123-WXYZ)
dmNote 5035: Retrieve your SIP credentials from dmSwitchboard12 tells you how to view the credentials for a personal extension.
Table of synonyms
The following table lists some of the synomyms used for SIP Credentials by the phone manufacturers.
If you have installed and used a SIP phone that is not included in this table, and you would like to include its synonyms here, please send them to Support.
